Lucia (Lei) Li is a research associate in urban green infrastructure in the School of Environment, Education and Development at the University of Manchester. Prior to joining MEaSURE, she was at the University of Nottingham. Her research spans interdisciplinary areas of urban nature and ecosystem services, environmental management and governance, stakeholder perception and participation. She is specialised in water management, nature-based solutions, green infrastructure, and sponge city. In MEaSURE project, Lucia will be focusing on objective 5, developing enabling mechanisms to embed knowledge generated by the project into urban land use and GI planning to maximise urban ecosystem multifunctionality and resilience, specifically by identifying the barriers and opportunities to the uptake of urban green infrastructure to achieve this multifunctionality. Lucia’s research helps to narrow down the knowledge gap among stakeholders (e.g. policy makers, practitioners, researchers, public, media) and bridge the interface of science. policy and practice.
